Wellness Salon Manager

Salon managers can earn on average $19 - $23+ per hour (base salary + up to 12% commission + monthly bonus), with top-performing managers earning even more.

Responsibilities

• Maintains salon staff by recruiting, selecting, and orienting employees.
• Achieves sales goals and other performance criteria by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff, including coaching, counseling, and correcting employees.
• Completes company operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
• Achieves financial objectives by effectively monitoring controllable expenses such as labor, cost of sales, and other salon-level expenses.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the salon by complying with all legal requirements.
• Manages and assigns tasks appropriately to ensure the salon is clean, adequately stocked, organized, well-kept, and customer-ready.
• Establishes rapport with customers, building loyalty and long-term relationships.
• Creates a positive, motivating, team-based environment.
• Investigates and resolves customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyzes daily sales and expense information and performs all other financial analyses to maximize sales and net profits.
• Safeguards and accounts for all money received and is responsible for banking requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in a retail/customer service environment.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to positively influence others.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods, for 7+ hours per day.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
