Wellness Respite Associate | Per Diem | SECOND SHIFT | Crisis Service

About the role

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is seeking Per Diem Wellness Associates for the SECOND SHIFT in all three locations. The Wellness Associate will provide supportive services to guests to help them have a meaningful and successful stay, learn crisis coping skills, and work towards realizing their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive services to guests during their stay at the wellness respite center.
• Work collaboratively with the Wellness Respite Associate to link guests to community services and resources.
• Help guests develop and implement a Wellness Plan.
• Offer an open-door setting where guests can continue their daily activities.
• Support individuals in crisis who may not require hospitalization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of related work/life experience or
• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related discipline.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage crisis and works well under pressure.
• Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred.
• Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Benefits

• Flexible schedule: Second Shift from 3:30pm to 12am.

Pay

• Hourly rate: $20.00 (BA Level) or $25.00 (MA Level).
