We are looking for Wellness Nurses LPNs to join our team at Morningside House of St. Charles, a leading assisted living and memory care community in Waldorf, MD.

Schedule

  • Full-time: 2 pm - 10 pm
  • Alternating weekends required

About the role

Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations
  • May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation
  • Responsible for completing service plans
  • May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director
  • Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently when listening, speaking, reading, and writing
  • Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation
  • Respond quickly to all emergencies
  • Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members
  • Provide educational meetings for residents and staff and attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
  • May provide oversight and direction for care staff
  • Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and coworkers
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) of the state
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified or willing to become certified
