Wellness Instructor - Restorative CNA - PRN

About the role

Work exclusively with the rehabilitation therapy team to deliver appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs to patients in a skilled nursing facility and senior care wellness setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy
• Perform restorative duties including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care
• Focus on restorative responsibilities with limited or none of the less desirable tasks that often accompany a CNA position
• Participate in EnerG® by Aegis wellness programs focusing on the seven dimensions of wellness

Qualifications

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice
• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area, preferred
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred
