Wellness Director

About the role

Bridgeway Park Canton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wellness Director to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of the community. This is an on‑call position requiring management experience and demonstrated compassion toward the elderly. The role involves overseeing daily operations, covering shifts as needed, and ensuring the well‑being of seniors, including assistance with ADLs, while fostering a warm and supportive environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, provide support, training and direction to Resident Assistants and Med Techs
• Follow up on issues, review 24‑hour logs – corrective actions for med errors, absences, etc.
• Assess any care complaints
• Conduct QA audits, review incident reports/med errors and put interventions/training in place
• Identify ongoing needs and services of residents to promote the highest quality resident services
• Maintain communication with resident’s family and/or responsible party to ensure medical needs are met
• Contact resident’s attending physician when necessary and/or upon family request
• Assess, monitor and follow up with residents who have experienced any fall, accident or incident; document and report as required
• Monitor the medication room, med charts and treatment carts for neatness, cleanliness, availability of medications and expired medications
