Wellness Director

Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, the mission of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is to be a recognized provider in giving person-centered care through an integrated continuum of quality residential, healthcare, and supportive social services for senior adults throughout the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.

About the Role

Functions as the Spiritual Wellness Manager for all of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Responsible for designing, developing, organizing, and implementing a robust Spiritual Wellness Program tailored to each level of living at CRSS. Programming should take into consideration the importance of the dignity of each resident and the philosophy of the Ministry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, organize, and implement Spiritual and Emotional offerings to all residents of CRSS.
• Meet monthly and work collaboratively with the entire Wellness Team to design a well-rounded wellness program and create a community calendar.
• Establish communication and effective working relationships with other departments.
• Oversee needs of the Chapels.
• Organize Mass and other Holy Day services.
• Schedule Priests for Mass and other Holy Day services.
• Organize Bible studies for each level of living.
• Develop personal relationships with and minister to the residents depending on their spiritual needs.
• Work with Volunteer Coordinator for volunteer needs.
• Participate in department, interdepartmental meetings, and other scheduled meetings as they relate to Administration and/or resident care.
• Track participation of residents in all Spiritual Wellness programming.
• Provide Spiritual resources to all residents.
• Secure and maintain any needed supplies.
• Assist with any employee wellness programming.
• Manage Spiritual Wellness budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Care or a related field.
• 3+ years experience working with older adults.
• Obtain CDL license within 3 months of hire.
• Become a PAC Champion within 6 months of hire.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
• Experience with teaching health and wellness classes.
• Ability to perform the required physical and sensory aspects of the position.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Knowledge of all corporate and facility policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Ability to perform requirements of position within regulatory guidelines and limitations.

Skills

• Maintain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
• Maintain CDL Licensure.
• Strong knowledge of Dimensions of Wellness with Champion-level knowledge of Spiritual Wellness.
• Utilize safety techniques and infection control practices in all aspects of task performances.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Knowledge of current wellness trends and best practices.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data analysis and outcome measurement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
• Proven track record in program development and management.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and wellness software tools.
