Wellness Dietician Entry-Level / Diabetes Education / **Internal Only**
Responsibilities
Provides nutrition and diabetes education to patients and community members, in both one-on-one sessions and group classes. Assesses nutritional needs, develops and implements nutritional care plans, and evaluates and reports these results appropriately.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field.
- Registered Dietitian, licensed in NC or Registered Dietitian eligible.
- BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within one month of employment date.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience.
- Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
- Successful completion of internship may be considered in place of work experience.
Skills
- Preferred Master of Science in Dietetics.
- Health Coach Certification.
- Certified Diabetes Educator.
- Community Health Education experience.
- Diabetes education experience.
