Wellness Center Mentor | Community Drop-In | 40 hours

About the role

This role involves serving as a full-time Wellness Mentor under the guidance of the Wellness Center Manager, acting as a leader and role model for members, visitors, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the agency's mission by identifying community needs
• Maintaining knowledge of local resources
• Collaborating on daily center operations
• Providing information and referrals related to wellness, recovery, peer support, and community services

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Peer certifications preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in basic computer use
• Knowledge of mental health systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to support individuals with mental health or addiction recovery
• Valid NJ driver’s license
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use issues (ideal)

Pay

Compensation varies based on certification: $17.50/hour without certification (must obtain within a year) or $19.23/hour with certification.
