Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients enrolled in Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) programs
- Collect, record, and review patient data from monitoring tools (e.g., vital signs, glucose levels)
- Identify trends and abnormalities in RPM data and escalate findings to healthcare providers to support care plan adjustments
- Provide clinical support for diagnostic procedures, including POCUS, spirometry, and stress testing, ensuring patient comfort and protocol compliance
- Educate patients on RPM programs and how to understand and use their health data effectively
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and clinical teams by sharing RPM insights to support patient care strategies
- Promptly communicate abnormal vital signs and significant clinical changes to appropriate healthcare providers
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
- Redirect patient care–related questions and clinical decision-making to the responsible licensed provider
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
