About the role
Rogue Valley Manor, Southern Oregon’s premier not‑for‑profit Life Plan Community, is seeking a Full‑Time Wellness Assistant to support wellness programming, fitness activities, and special events that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing and leading fitness classes, wellness programs, and community events for residents.
- Support resident fitness assessments and help coordinate individualized wellness activities under the direction of the Wellness Coordinator.
- Orient residents to fitness equipment, wellness spaces, and aquatic facilities while promoting safe participation.
- Provide instruction and encouragement for wellness activities including fitness training, aquatic exercise, and other physical activities.
- Build positive relationships with residents while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting an active community lifestyle.
Requirements
- Experience in fitness, recreation, physical therapy, wellness, personal training, or a related field.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in recreation, physical fitness, physical education, personal training, or a related field preferred.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications; Lifeguard certification preferred.
- Knowledge of fitness equipment, exercise techniques, and safe activity practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills with a passion for helping older adults stay active and engaged.

Pay
$20.00 – $26.10 per hour, depending on experience.
