Wellness Advocate
Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing a wide range of health promotion services, activities, and programs throughout an assigned region.
Core Functions
- Implements health promotion programs including screenings, health risk assessments, wellness & fitness education, classes, intervention programs, and other activities.
- Represents hospital services to external & internal publics, creating appropriate referrals and cross-selling opportunities to meet the need of the customer.
- Provides support in program implementation, delivery and evaluation of wellness needs of a targeted population.
- Provides presentations on educational information and evaluations for groups on various wellness and fitness topics.
- Tabulates and summarizes program evaluations to validate program effectiveness and to seek areas of program improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training in Wellness, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition or health related field from accredited college or university required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills required.
- This position requires flexible hours and excellent customer service.
Additional Related Education And/or Experience Preferred
- Bilingual skills,
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification,
- and any additional health & fitness certifications preferred.
Estimated Pay Range
Estimated Pay Range: $24.32 - $36.48 / hour
