Wellness & Activities Director
Aegis Therapies, one of the nation’s leading providers of contract rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Director of Wellness and Activities to join our supportive team in Belton, MO. This is a full-time role with a retention bonus available, up to 40 hours per week, and occasional Saturdays in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, or skilled nursing facility setting.
About the role
As a Director of Wellness and Activities, you will develop and schedule a monthly calendar featuring 5-7 exercises or activities per day, including group exercise and wellness programming. You’ll work closely with the Director of Rehabilitation to lead and market our proprietary program, EnerG by Aegis—a holistic, results-driven wellness initiative focused on the seven dimensions of wellness to enhance health and happiness for residents.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule 5-7 daily exercises or activities on a monthly calendar
- Lead group exercise and traditional recreational/wellness activities
- Collaborate with the Director of Rehabilitation
- Serve as lead instructor for wellness programs
- Market EnerG by Aegis programs
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area (preferred)
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations (preferred)
