About the role
The Well Tender I position supports the monitoring and operation of conventional oil and gas wells and associated production equipment. This entry-level position performs routine inspections, tank gauging, production monitoring, and basic maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced field personnel.Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of oil and gas wells and associated production equipment.
- Gauge tanks and record production data.
- Inspect wellheads, flow lines, tank batteries, and lease equipment.
- Assist with chemical treating for corrosion, paraffin, and scale control.
- Monitor wells and equipment for paraffin buildup or scale accumulation.
- Auxiliary with paraffin removal procedures including mechanical or chemical treatment.
- Perform routine Bradenhead pressure checks and document readings.
- Auxiliary with rod pump monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Maintain well sites including mowing, brush cutting, and site cleanup.
- Report leaks, spills, safety hazards, or abnormal well conditions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn oilfield equipment operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license required.
Qualifications
- Oilfield or mechanical experience preferred but not required.
