Welding Technology Program- Short Term Employee

This temporary, hourly position will assist the Welding/Manufacturing Technology Program Department Chair and faculty between the college's Welding Program locations: the Valencia Campus, Interim Applied Technology Center, Castaic High School, and Pitchess Detention Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist in metal processing to produce instructional materials.
• Perform light duty maintenance of welding equipment.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly lab environment.
• Assist students and the instructor as needed.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Participate in departmental events and meetings.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a welder in a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Available on a flexible basis during the week.
