Welding/NDT Inspector

About the role

Advance Testing Company, Inc., is seeking structural steel welding inspectors and non-destructive testing technicians for immediate openings. These roles are ideal for those looking to advance their careers in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing on various project types including building construction sites, power generation facilities, bridges, and fabrication facilities.
• Work on a wide range of projects such as highways, bridges, commercial buildings, airports, tunnels, fabrication plants, material production facilities, government and military sites, and schools.
• May require obtaining security clearances and background confirmations for sensitive projects and locations.

Requirements

• American Welding Society (AWS) CWI certification
• Excellent communication skills for real-time interaction with on-site quality control and production personnel
• Strong multi-tasking abilities to handle multiple projects or contracts simultaneously
• Strong computer skills for custom software and digital camera use in report preparation
• Flexibility in schedule and assignment durations, and ability to travel to job sites
• Strong plan reading and specification comprehension skills

Qualifications

• Strong plan reading and specification comprehension skills
• Other certifications of particular interest include ASNT UT Level II/III, ASNT MT Level II/III, and ASNT PT Level II/III

• Computer proficiency, especially with custom software and digital cameras
• Flexibility in scheduling and ability to travel
• Physical stamina for lifting up to 75 lbs., walking on uneven surfaces, and driving to job sites
