Key Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify welding processes and procedures (WPS)
- Troubleshoot welding defects
- Select appropriate welding equipment and materials
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Analyze welding data
- Identify problems in the welding and joining process
- Document case studies
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in welding engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of various welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW)
- Understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material behavior under stress
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AUTOCAD, CATIA or 3D viewer) and other engineering tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of accuracy is critical for calculations, material selection, and process documentation
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT), quality control, and project management is often beneficial
- Knowledge of Production & Quality Control in manufacturing
- Experience in Aluminum and Steel Body Structures
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
