Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, engaging lectures and lab demonstrations using relevant examples, visual aids, and hands-on activities.
- Present welding concepts logically, emphasizing safety, quality, and real-world applications.
- Provide instructional objectives and assess student understanding through discussions and demonstrations.
- Develop and grade exams, projects, and assignments to measure learning progress.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance to help students succeed.
- Refer students to college resources such as tutoring or learning centers as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- As defined by the California Community College (CCC) Minimum Qualifications Handbook: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field AND two (2) years of professional welding experience; OR Associate degree in a related field AND six (6) years of professional welding experience; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience (requires submission of a Request for Equivalency Hearing form).
