Welders
Essential Functions of Position
- Comply with all Feldmeier safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ability to TIG weld, spot weld and MIG weld stainless steel.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
- Layout component locations per instructions.
- Prepare work surface via cutting and finishing.
- Weld small and large components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions via appropriate welding technique.
- Set up and operate equipment for assigned jobs.
- Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or as requested by management.
- Complete all required paperwork and properly log time into the MES system, logging on and off.
Minimum Qualifications
- Boces welding certificate or 6 months of welding experience
- Previous fabricating experience
- Ability to read measuring tapes and operate tools- grinder, and welding torch.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of TIG experience
- Experience welding with different Alloys
- Proficiently weld in flat, vertical and overhead positions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Continual use of hands; pushing, pulling, grasp, hold, move, and maintain 20 pounds constantly with full range of motion, including above head, below feet and side to side.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and platforms for elevated work.
- Walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, balancing, stooping, lie down inside or under vessel and twisting while performing required job tasks.
