Welder- TIG (Aluminum Castings) 2nd Shift

Essential Functions

• Weld defects in castings to ensure product meets quality requirements and customer specifications
• Operate a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welder and basic hand tools
• Maintain appropriate documentation for specialized jobs
• Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Skills or Experience Required

• High school degree or GED
• Vo-tech program in a related discipline preferred
• Certified welder with six (6) months of welding experience
• Completed military/aerospace welding certification testing
• GTAW and TIG experience on aluminum preferred

Position Demands or Requirements

• Ability to read, interpret and follow written work instructions and specifications
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy
• Exposed to heat, fumes, dust and noise
• Able to bend, reach, walk, stand, stoop and squat
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Handles flame and gas
• Wears protective safety equipment including welding hood, face shields, apron, leather gloves and long sleeve shirt (natural fibers)
• No exposed skin is allowed (UV danger)
