Welder (Steel) 1st and 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Operate production line welding stations and perform product assembly.
• Troubleshoot and maintain production line welding stations.
• Perform equipment and set-up change-overs as needed.
• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analysis.
• Complete daily production logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance and manufacturing engineers.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 2 years of production welding experience.
• Demonstrated Tig and / or Mig welding skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds required.

Working Conditions

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
• Temperature periodically exceeds 90 degrees.
• Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds.
• Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toe shoes.

Schedule

• Short Term Shift: Monday through Thursday 5AM - 3PM.
• OT: Fridays 5PM - 1PM.
• Second Shift: Monday through Thursday 3PM - 1AM.
• OT: Fridays 1PM - 9PM.
