Welder - Level 2 (Night Shift)
About the role
As a Welder here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for working on a team of welders and ensuring the quality and efficiency of welding operations. You will report directly to our Welding Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Palmetto, FL location.
Responsibilities
- Conduct welding operations in accordance with specifications and industry standards, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
- Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as necessary.
- Inspect welds for defects, maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Mentor and train junior welders to enhance their skills and ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
- You must have 1+ years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW on materials such as aluminum and stainless steel.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment, aluminum welding experience is required.
- Basic understanding of math, geometry, and angles; adept in using the metric system.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications
- Technical certification in welding or a related field.
- Candidates who have graduated from welding school are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in pressure vessel manufacturing according to ASME code.
- Knowledge of pipe fitting and welding in accordance with B31.3 Process piping code.
- NDE experience (e.g., penetrant testing).
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.

Pay
The starting pay is $25.00/hr + with an off shift pay differential.
Schedule
This position requires training on 1st shift for an initial period. Upon successful completion of training, you will transition to 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am).
