Welder III- TIG

About the role

We are looking for a TIG Welder I who will lay out, fit, cut, and weld fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and shelving.

Responsibilities

• Cut aluminum or plastic into various lengths according to work order using tools such as radial saw and miter saw.
• Deburr aluminum using electric sander.
• Shape edges of aluminum according to work order specifications using a punch press.
• Punch holes on plastic or aluminum according to specification on work order using various punch presses.
• TIG and MIG weld thin aluminum extrusions.
• Maintain work area in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.
• Read and interpret work orders, documents, drawings, and procedures.
• Develop prototype samples as needed to support engineering projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• Six months related experience and/or training, or 3 months internal Anthony welding training.
• Pass internal welding certification test.
• Quality: maintain rejection rate targets (or FPY of specified percentage).
• Productivity: support output of 80+ frames per 8-hour shift.

• Understanding of 6S principles.
• Basic math skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret adjustable measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications, simple formulas, charts, tables, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, or force up to 50 lbs one third to two thirds of the time.
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods.
• Ability to reach with arms and hands; bend, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Ability to see and hear.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to change.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of manufacturing experience.
