About the Role

A Welder at REV performs GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures, including machine settings, bottle management, and necessary fittings. Responsibilities include welding aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials in various positions (vertical, horizontal, and overhead), inspecting welds for defects, grinding and cleaning areas as needed, and adhering to safety and maintenance protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures, including machine setup and maintenance.
• Weld aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through, and weld spatter.
• Grind and clean areas as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and perform basic mechanical adjustments on equipment.
• Follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and perform shop math for layout, fabrication, and welding of parts and assemblies.

Requirements

• Preferred 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge and experience in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding.
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening.

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders.
• Ability to work with arms above the head.
• Ability to operate and understand protective safety equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
