Welder III
About the role
Join our Fabrication team as a Welder III at Lewis Energy Group. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can weld metal components for various projects including drilling rigs, pipelines, and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Welds metal components using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and oxy-acetylene welding techniques.
- Gathers dimensions and lays out structural steel or high-pressure piping for fabrication.
- Fabricates and installs conductor, braiden-head, casing cut-offs, plugs, and abandonments.
- Prepares bill of materials and ISO for compressor/pig launcher installations.
Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum of three years of related experience.
- Ability to pass AWS D1: 3G, 4G tests, ASME 2” sch. 160 6G tests, and API 1104 12 inch std. on Butt and Branch tests.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to work weekends and be on-call.
- Understanding of measuring tape, material grade, alloys, miter cuts, fitting take-offs, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of fittings and layouts, risers, headers, and project oversight.
- Must participate in and successfully complete the Smith Driver’s Training system.

Pay
Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 5:00pm. Hours and schedule may vary based on operational tempo.
