We are looking for a talented Welder III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing at our Cummins Inc. facility in Frankfort, KY.
About the role
Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Safety by stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately.
- Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard to maintain compliance with HSE standards.
- Recognize how your work impacts the environment and work to minimize negative effects.
- Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship to ensure quality performance.
- Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and perform quality inspections to maintain equipment uptime.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and solve problems to enhance processes and reduce manufacturing constraints.
- Communicate effectively with your team and support teams to foster collaboration and improve productivity.
- Engage in HSE training and complete personal development to stay updated with business requirements.
- Perform bracket welding on axles and assemble Meritor tire inflation system to axles.
- Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
- Read and interpret bill of material, work instructions, and specifications to current build of axles.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- At least 1 year of welding experience.
- Must be able to pass Cummins welding certification.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
Pay
Base Rate: $21.00 - $23.62 per hour.

On-site with flexibility. 100% on-site role.
