Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to MIG weld pipe with precision and expertise.
- Perform Flux Core welding on pipe, ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.
- TIG weld carbon steel pipe according to specifications, maintaining consistent quality and integrity.
- TIG weld low alloy and stainless-steel pipe, meeting or exceeding industry standards for quality.
- Stick weld stainless steel plate and pipe groove welds, ensuring proper penetration and fusion.
- Perform TIG welding on plate, demonstrating proficiency and accuracy.
- Produce quality welds that meet or exceed industry standards, ensuring structural integrity and durability.
- Achieve job utilization at 85% daily to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a welder or in a similar role required.
- Proficiency in passing tests related to measurements, including tape measure, protractor, and caliper tests.
- Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior welders, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Expertise in completing welding projects independently from prints, demonstrating problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG, Flux Core, TIG, and Stick welding, with proficiency in welding pipe and plate.
- Experience in MIG, Flux Core, TIG, and Stick welding on different materials, including carbon steel, low alloy, and stainless steel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality welds consistently, ensuring structural integrity and durability of welded components.
- Commitment to achieving production targets and job utilization goals, prioritizing efficiency and productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures for welding operations, ensuring a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.
