Welder I (Precision Assembler)

Responsibilities

• Work from drawings and other documented work instructions.
• Make standard set-ups and maintain operating conditions as prescribed, submitting questionable settings to the appropriate supervisor or technical leader.
• Maintain required quality and productivity levels, making minor machine and tooling adjustments to comply with requirements.
• Inspect parts using basic measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and leak check equipment.
• Visually inspect parts for weld integrity; and when required, forward parts for dimensional correctness inspection.
• Ensure quality requirements are maintained using quantitative charting techniques, including Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Apply basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions and other required functions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in manufacturing or quality preferred (training provided)

Skills

• Basic computer knowledge for labor transactions
• Proficiency with micrometers, verniers, and leak check equipment
• Visual inspection for weld integrity
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quantitative charting techniques

Pay

Hourly rate range: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (final rate determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications)
