Responsibilities
- Operate robot welding machines and hand welding MIG/TIG
- Assist other operators with tasks such as area housekeeping, maintenance, and material staging
- Manufacture parts according to part-specific blueprints/drawings provided by engineering and customer specifications
- Stage raw materials at designated work centers
- Load and unload machines
- Use handheld tools/gauges to confirm in-process part conformance
- Skid in-process parts to protect them from damage
- Ensure production identification and traceability
- Conduct operator-level maintenance when necessary
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Works well individually or within a team
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Understanding of work orders, work instructions, and verbal instruction
- Knowledge of quality requirements for multiple customers
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to use handheld measuring tools to confirm product conformance
- Knows when to seek clarification on problems
- Previous experience with industry standard welding equipment, fixturing, and related tooling is a plus
- Basic understanding of industry standard weld symbols
- Experience with ABB/OTC welding robots and mig welding techniques is a plus
- Excellent attendance record
Qualifications
- Must have a basic understanding of industry standard weld symbols
- Experienced with material specific factors that contribute to overall weld quality, penetration, porosity, etc.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
