About the role

Embark on an exciting journey as a Welder, where you'll fuse fabricated components to create robust structural forms. Your expertise will be pivotal in assembling vital pieces that form the backbone of our projects. Responsibilities

  • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding applying proper welding techniques.
  • Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using arc welding equipment.
  • May assemble parts by bolting.
  • May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press, and other hand tools.
  • The ability to work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a welder, preferably on a construction site.
  • Must be capable of passing a welding certification test which includes SMAW and FCAW processes.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend welding instructions.
  • Must be familiar with blueprints and/or structural drawings.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must have all required welding tools necessary to perform the above-listed duties.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet.
  • Must be able to pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding up to 150 feet.
  • Excessive amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and exposure to high voltage electromagnetic fields.

All the physical demands listed are essential functions. This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
