Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on stainless steel, and other alloys as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, schematics, and work instructions
  • Set up welding equipment, select proper filler materials, and adjust settings for material type and thickness
  • Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fixturing
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy
  • Operate hand tools, grinders, torches, and fabrication equipment including plasma cutters, rollers, and press break machines
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop standards
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional departments to meet customer demands
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to welding/fabrication area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of welding experience
  • Technical certification a plus
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes
  • Ability to weld in multiple positions working with fabricated assemblies
  • Knowledge of weld symbols and basic metallurgy
  • Able to use measuring tools accurately (tape measure, calipers, squares)
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision welding work
