Shifts
- 2nd Shift: Mondays - Thursdays, 3:45pm - 3:30am; Fridays, 3:45pm - 8:45pm
- Weekend Shift: Fridays - Sundays; 5:00am - 5:00pm
Compensation
- 2nd Shift: Hours Over 40 Paid at Time and a Half
- Weekend Shift: Hours Over 36 Paid at Time and a Half
- All Shifts: Hours Over 50 Paid at Double Time
Responsibilities
- Grinding, drilling, and fabrication of bridge girder parts
- Performing welding operations, assembly operations, and miscellaneous tasks
- Installing high-strength bolts
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Ensuring proper safety equipment is used
- Coordinating with supervisors and other personnel
- Completing work orders efficiently, on time, and with top-notch quality
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Great attendance to learn and grow skills
- 1+ year of fabrication or welding experience (optional)
- Commitment to work safety and safety culture
- Quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability of work performed

Day in the Life
As a Fabricator employed at Veritas Steel's Wausau location, you are responsible for:
- Grinding, drilling, and fabrication of bridge girder parts
- Performing welding operations, assembly operations, and miscellaneous tasks
- Installing high-strength bolts
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Ensuring proper safety equipment is used
- Coordinating with supervisors and other personnel
- Completing work orders efficiently, on time, and with top-notch quality
Physical Abilities
- Able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Able to push/move objects up to 50 lbs. of force
- Able to pull up to 122 lbs. of force
- Necessary to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
- Adequate range of motion when reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bending
- Able to use agile fingers and thumbs on both hands
Environment
- Work performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions
- Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other possible hazardous conditions
- Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required
