About the role

Responsibilities
- MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding to join metal parts, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
- Machine operation: Operate metalworking machines such as shears, presses, and grinders to shape metal parts as required.
- Fabrication of metal parts: Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various hand and power tools, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to accurately fabricate metal parts according to the design.
- Production Task Execution: Follow process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions from the supervisor to complete production tasks accurately.
- Material Handling: Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with the assistance of a crane, as required.
- Weld Inspection & Finishing: Inspect welds throughout the process for quality, using grinding tools as necessary to achieve desired finishes.
- Maintenance: Keep machines and work areas clean and adhere to safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets predetermined tolerances and standards.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist in other areas or departments as assigned to meet production needs.
Requirements
- MIG Welding Experience: Prior experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical schooling is required.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with grinding tools, drill presses, and ironwork is advantageous.
- Communication & Documentation: Basic oral communication skills; ability to read and understand written instructions in English and complete basic logs and reports in English.
- Physical Capability: Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components as required.
- Attendance & Compliance: Ability to work scheduled hours and adhere to company timekeeping and all other policies.
- Shift Endurance: Ability to consistently stand for the entire duration of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Mechanical Knowledge: General mechanical knowledge is beneficial.
- Team Orientation: Able to work cooperatively with others and contribute as a team player.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in all tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
