Welder 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
• Interpret drawings and technical data to use in repairs.
• Prepare parts for welding by grinding, machining, and belt sanding.
• Document travelers after operations performed.
• Maintain production standards/quality.
• Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
• Use calibrated instruments and tooling to perform critical measurements.
• Operate various welding machines such as TIG, MIG, and oxy-acetylene torches.
• Operate spot welders.
• Maintain certification required to weld applicable alloys.
• Comply with all applicable regulatory, customer, and safety requirements.
• Pass an eye examination specific to welders.
• Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities.
• Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform qualification welds on 0.040” thick materials in accordance with AWS D17.1 for both fillet and groove welds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and work in-process documents.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing.
