Welder/1st Class (St. Paul)

Job Summary

Dominion Generation is seeking qualified applicants for a Welder 1st Class position in St. Paul, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Performing oxygen and acetylene torch operations and welding on pressure vessels, piping components, valves and structural steel.
• Ability to perform GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and brazing on pressure and non-pressure components.
• Availability to work overtime and night shifts when needed.
• May require some travel for periods of up to a month or more to support other station outages.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years welding experience with piping and pressure vessels.
• The ability to perform GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and brazing on pressure and non-pressure components.
• Successfully pass the Dominion Generation pre-employment welding test.
• Must be or be able to become respirator qualified.
• Prior power station welding experience, pipefitting experience, abilities in pipefitting, layout, print reading and fabrication of components are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

About the Role

The typical work schedule for this position is 06:00 – 14:30.

Pay

Starting Hourly Rate: $40.22/hour
