Weld Cell Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift

Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: Ice Industries, Deerfield, Mason, Ohio

Pay

Starting pay rate: $17.50 per hour

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM (Monday – Thursday)

About the Role

Operating robotic welders for the assembly of oil pans, including leak testing, to produce a quality product.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate robotic welders and resistance welders by manually placing an oil pan in/on the welder
• Manually assemble pieces to the oil pans
• Safely operate leak tester by manually placing the oil pan on the die, remove, inspect, and pack part(s) as required per customer instructions
• Complete tags, check-sheets, and reports timely and accurately
• Keep the work area clean and participate in plant clean-up
• Work in a team environment and collaborate with other employees
• Follow company policies, safety policies, and practice safe work habits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment with tow motors moving throughout the plant
• Non-air-conditioned building
• Required PPE: hearing protection, steel toe boots, gloves, arm guards, and safety glasses
• Standing for 7.5 hours per shift
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds continuously
• Some bending and walking within weld cells

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience with robotic welders
• Capable of taking directives and following instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of completing proper paperwork accurately
• Excellent attendance record; ability to work overtime, including Saturdays and, when necessary, Sundays
• Strong communication with coworkers and team leader
