Location: 30 Primrose Lane

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and help resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Follow company policies relating to customer checkout to increase satisfaction.
• Identify and shop customer orders in a timely fashion to ensure accurate and fresh orders.
• Operate front‑end scanning equipment and register, performing checkout procedures including efficiently bagging merchandise and placing items in the customer’s cart.
• Contact customers by phone to address any questions or concerns.
• Operate console and picker devices to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to answer customer questions.
• Maintain transaction accuracy, ensuring customers are charged correctly and appropriate funds are collected (cash, checks, electronic payment, coupons).
• Follow proper security measures and cash‑drawer accounting procedures to avoid overages or shortages.
• Adhere to store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
• Perform general sanitation in the department, follow cleaning schedules, and keep work areas, equipment, counters, and display cases clean and compliant with health and OSHA requirements.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Cooperate with co‑workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operation.
• Continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all company‑provided personal protective equipment (PPE), including cut‑resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company‑sponsored footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.
