Weight Operations Technical Analyst 3 (contract)
Aircraft Weighing
Develops complex inventory equipment lists, conducts inventories, weighs aircraft, determines center of gravity of aircraft and documents results.
Prepares Chapter 2 of the Weight and Balance Manual. Balances flight control surfaces. Calculates/adjusts weight requirements to balance flight control surfaces following repair and/or repaint.
Develops flight load planning and directs airplane loading of variable load elements. Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on airplane gross weight and center of gravity and prepares flight manifests for pilot's signatures and flight release.
Weights and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies. Resolves complex issues with equipment, components and weighing systems.
Day-to-Day Activities
Works on projects such as aircraft weighing, flight manifesting, and data management.
Technical/Software Skills Needed
- Aircraft weight & balance experience
- M365 Basic Mathematics
- Associates Degree level Training
Comments
Candidates must be willing to train outside of the Washington location listed.
Shift
Must be willing to work variable shifts. Shift will depend on business need.
Pay Rate Range
35 - 40 USD hourly
