Weigh & Mix Operator (night shift)

Pay range: $19–$21/hr depending on experience

About the role

Support production of packaged goods according to Standard Operating Procedures and specified quality standards. Carries out specific instructions from Production Manager/Supervisor in accordance with the daily packaging schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks autonomously and with proficiency under general supervision
• Follow pre-established guidelines, experience, and judgment to accomplish goals
• Additional duties as assigned; essential functions may change over time

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Work environment

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations
• Occasional risk of electrical shock, extreme heat (non-weather), and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Loud noise level

Physical demands

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; infrequently move up to 1000 pounds
• Regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Regularly climb or balance
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
