Weekend warehouse package handler 2nd shift Friday to Sunday

Position Description

As a Warehouse Associate, you will help process incoming and outgoing freight. Your responsibilities will include moving packages, operating handheld scanners, loading trailers, unloading shipments, and keeping freight organized throughout the operation.

Key Duties

• Load packages by hand from conveyor belts into trailers.
• Remove freight from trailers and place packages onto conveyor lines.
• Scan shipments accurately using handheld devices.
• Sort packages into the appropriate cages or staging areas.
• Move cages and freight between designated locations.
• Build stable and organized trailer loads.
• Keep up with production demands during busy periods.
• Work safely while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Follow all company policies and warehouse procedures.

Compensation

This position features production-based pay, allowing employees to earn more as their productivity increases.

• Average: $16–$25 per hour
• High performers: $25–$35 per hour

Compensation is based on the amount of freight processed. Consistent, efficient performance can increase overall earning potential.

Schedule

• Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• 3-day weekend schedule
• Extra weekday hours may be available when additional coverage is needed

Requirements

Applicants should be prepared for a physically demanding warehouse environment and must:

• Have dependable attendance and arrive on time.
• Be able to repeatedly handle packages weighing 5–50 lbs.
• Stay on their feet and physically active for most of the shift.
• Work effectively under time and production expectations.
• Follow directions and safety requirements.
• Pay attention to package accuracy and proper sorting.
• Have dependable transportation to the West Jordan worksite.
• Successfully complete required background and drug screening.
• Relocation to the West Jordan area is required before employment begins.
