Weekend Sign Installer - Smithfield, VA
About the role
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Smithfield, VA area in the community Mallory Pointe.
Responsibilities
- Install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM
- Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM
- Use Artisan Direct's mobile application to report installation and pickup of signs at specific locations
- Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week
- Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory after completing pick up using the website
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- 18+ years old
- Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30+ signs
- A smartphone (Android or iPhone), roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app
- Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only
- Dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend
Pay
Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend. Pay is issued via direct deposit every two weeks. A $20.00 signing bonus and a $100.00 bonus after 4 weeks of completed work are also offered.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are not employees of Artisan Direct and are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. Contractors determine their own driving order, provide their own vehicle and mobile device, and complete the work within the placement and pickup windows provided.
