Job Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene
- Providing medication reminders
- Assisting with ambulation and mobility
- Preparing light meals according to dietary needs
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and pharmacy visits
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Making sure the client's well-being is monitored and reported to office staff
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- The ability to follow individualized care plans
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- The ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- A compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
- One year of caregiving or in-home care experience preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dementia care, mobility assistance, and transfers
- Familiarity with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, walkers, and transfer benches (training available)
- CPR certification preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
Compensation
Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00
