Weekend Shift CNC Operator (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

About the role

The CNC Weekend Machine Operator position at RLWS involves operating CNC machines, performing tooling offsets and insert changes, setting up workholding and fixtures, and communicating effectively. This role requires strong communication skills and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines including tooling offsets and tool/insert changes as necessary to keep parts in specification.
• Recover from and troubleshoot machine alarms/errors to minimize downtime.
• Accurately complete daily operator checklists to help increase machine uptime.
• Perform basic robot functions and set up workholding and fixtures for scheduled parts.
• Identify and communicate ways to increase machine uptime.
• Read and use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and optical comparators.
• Use SPC related equipment and maintain accurate records of time and quantities.
• Maintain certification to operate overhead crane and forklift to move material.
• Notify supervisor of any damaged or malfunctioning equipment/tooling.
• Ensure work area is clean and organized.
• Follow blueprints and supervisor/technician directions.
• Work independently and as part of a team to maintain productivity standards and quality expectations.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

This position offers a flexible schedule working Sunday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. There may also be occasional after-hours support required.
