Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Weekend Security Guard to join our team at Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Centerville.
Responsibilities
- Conduct an inventory of personal belongings on all admissions and safely remove and store any contraband
- Conduct and document, as a minimum, hourly rounds of the entire facility and its grounds, and immediately report any safety concerns to the supervisor
- Report/document environmental concerns
- Be present and assist, if needed, if and when a resident may be struggling to manage emotions
- Conduct frequent checks with residents deemed as risk, including physically viewing residents’ whereabouts and documentation of where they are, what they are doing, and who, if anyone, they are with
- Assist staff with room searches
- May be assigned to a resident on a 1:1 basis for a determined period of time, including direct supervision at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Prior security experience required
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism
