Weekend Production MIG Welder

Responsibilities

• Welding products according to work instructions and ensure compliance with the appropriate quality standards
• Monitor welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged from warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
• Deliver daily production output demands and communicate timely with the appropriate personnel on any problems or delays
• Assist at a variety of workstations throughout the work process as needed

Qualifications

• Previous welding knowledge accompanied by the appropriate education
• Understand and apply written and oral instructions
• Able to work in a team environment and effectively communicate
• Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities

Work Environment Demands

• Deadline-oriented, requires multitasking, fluctuating work schedule, and flexibility within the workday
• Requires the ability for close vision, distance vision and depth perception
• Working and interacting with others and the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, maintain attention to detail, and perform focused work
• The following motions can be required during the day: Standing for extended periods of time, stepping up & down, balancing, bending (hip & knees), reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting (from floor to waist, waist to chest, chest to head), observing, hearing, grasping, pressing, and other repetitive actions
• Continuous motion throughout the day, utilization of tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles, the ability to lift 25lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks as deemed necessary
• Work with and/or around potentially dangerous equipment
