Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting.
- Complete comprehensive resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, wound care, and other physician-ordered services.
- Accurately document nursing care, assessments, and resident outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Supervise and direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other assigned staff.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians, responsible parties, and appropriate team members.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident needs.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Maintain compliance with CMS regulations, Indiana State Department of Health requirements, and facility policies and procedures.
- Promote resident rights, dignity, independence, and person-centered care.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and professional communication.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN): Current Indiana RN license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Current Indiana LPN license in good standing. Graduate of an approved practical nursing program. Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience preferred.
