About the Role
TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate and quality-driven nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our post-acute care team in Middletown, Delaware. This part-time (weekends) opportunity involves rounding in an inpatient rehab facility 1-2 days per week, offering excellent support, training, autonomy, and earning potential. You will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
Our comprehensive clinical and operational leadership team will support your transition with a 3-month onboarding program, a dedicated clinical field mentor, and access to industry-leading clinical experts in post-acute medicine. Growth and leadership opportunities are available, including modules in our Medical Director Leadership Academy (MDLA) to prepare you for quality improvement initiatives and collaboration with facility leadership.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inpatient medical assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of rehabilitation goals
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in coordination with the rehabilitation plan
- Monitor functional progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery goals
- Collaborate with rehabilitation physicians, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide medical education to patients and families related to recovery, comorbidities, and prevention
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations
Requirements
- NP or PA license (State of Delaware) and DEA
- Experience in post-acute, acute, ED, or clinic settings preferred, but not required; new grads welcome to apply
- Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook
- Ability to commute/relocate to Middletown, Delaware (required)

Pay
Compensation is fee for service with an estimated annual range of $41,976 to $83,952, with no cap on productivity income potential.
Schedule
Part-time (weekends), 1-2 days per week.
