About the role

Join us as a Weekend Locum Veterinarian and enjoy a consistent, low-stress rhythm that fits your lifestyle. As a Petfolk Veterinarian, you’ll be charged with improving the lives of pets and their parents in the Charlotte area.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care using a Fear Free/force-free handling approach.
• Collaborate with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure exceptional pet care and customer experiences.
• Adapt and thrive in an innovative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
• Offer general practice and daytime urgent care services at five Charlotte locations: Ballantyne, Concord, Fort Mill, Huntersville, and SouthPark.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent), active and in good standing in the state of North Carolina or currently pursuing registration in NC (We will pay for it!)
• 1+ years in the pet ecosystem.
• Prioritize the gold standard approach to health and wellness of pets with a focus on preventative care.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in an innovative, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A Fear-Free or low-stress handling-based approach to interacting with and handling pets.
• Passion for improving veterinary healthcare and educating pet parents.
• Compassionate team player with a positive attitude that prioritizes effective communication.
• Lifetime learner who stays current on innovation in the industry and continuously meets and exceeds state CE requirements.

Schedule

• Every Saturday & Sunday: 8 weekend days per 4-week schedule.
• Mix It Up: Opt to work 6 weekend days and 2 weekdays per 4 weeks for more balance and flexibility.
