Weekend In Home Caregiver
About the Role
As a caregiver/personal assistant, you will make a positive difference in the lives of seniors. Some seniors need companionship, help with errands, or social activities like playing cards. Others require assistance with mobility, memory, or daily tasks such as medication reminders, bathroom guidance, and safe showering.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with seniors.
- Offer medication reminders and assistance with medication management.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving preferred but not required.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Proof of auto insurance with your name listed as a driver and a clean driving record.
- Ability to clear a background check and drug screening.
- Dependability and integrity.
- Desire to make a difference.
Pay
Caregivers start at $19–$21 per hour based on Hands-on Skill and Dementia Competence assessments. Earnings increase by an additional $1.50 per hour ($20.50–$22.50) within the first 6 months upon completing the Specialized Certifications Education Program. With raises for certifications, longevity, and Caregiver Lead positions, caregivers can earn up to $25 per hour.
Weekly pay is provided the week following the workweek, with direct deposit available for faster payment.
