Weekend Home Health Visits Registered Nurse

BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate opening for a Weekend Registered Nurse to perform home health visits for our office in Dartmouth, serving adult and geriatric clients in Somerset, Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fairhaven, and surrounding towns.

About the role

Use your clinical expertise to make a meaningful impact through home health visits, utilizing strong assessment skills and independent decision-making in diverse home environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments with the ability to identify subtle changes in patient condition
• Utilize experience with acute and post-acute care (e.g., CHF, COPD, wound care, IV therapy, post-surgical care)
• Triage and manage urgent clinical situations independently in the home setting
• Perform medication reconciliation, teaching, and safety monitoring
• Conduct comprehensive wound assessment, care, and documentation
• Manage a dynamic visit schedule and prioritize urgent visits
• Maintain efficient point-of-care documentation and technology use
• Provide care in varied home environments with cultural sensitivity and respect for patient autonomy

Requirements

• Current nursing license in good standing in Massachusetts
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of recent hands-on medical experience with adult/geriatric population in settings such as acute care, emergency department, home health, hospice, ICU, med surg, sub-acute care, or rehab units
• Home health visiting nurse experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and make real-time clinical decisions without immediate on-site support
• Strong problem-solving skills in unpredictable home environments
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs and schedules

Pay

Weekly base pay ranging from $58.00 to $62.00 per point, depending on qualifications, plus a generous weekend differential.
