Weekend Cook
Description
The Weekend Cook will ensure consistent food preparation and service quality, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and adhere to agency policies.
- Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order.
- Control food costs and usage by following proper product management procedures.
- Be knowledgeable of agency policies and report any issues to the program director.
- Maintain appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen areas.
- Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperatures.
- Communicate effectively with the full-time Cook and manage inventory levels.
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks.
- Stay current with Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years' experience in various kitchen roles such as food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter, with at least 6 months in a similar capacity. Must be able to communicate clearly and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
